George Arias - a true artist

Here's a recent review from one of George's clients......

"4 years ago I went to a hair stylist that was recommended to me by a friend, the stylist chopped my hair and damaged my hair when she colored it. I could not trust what would happen to my hair if I went back. So I went on line and Googled: " Best hair color and stylist in Denver" George came up @ Luxe Salon. I called Luxe Salon and explained what happened and they were able to get me right in with George. George was able to correct the cut and color. George only wants the best for his clients, he shows that thru his work and attitude. With the recommendations of hair products my hair was healthy again. George is a true artist with color and the best hair stylist! I continue to receive compliments after my hair appointments with George. George,I appreciate you!"

Andrea is back - and she killed it at New York Fashion Week (as we knew she would!).

Andrea accepted the challenge, and she handled it with talent, professionalism and grace.

Welcome back to Denver, Andrea! After styling three shows in two days in New York City, Andrea Clarke is very excited to have this incredible experience under her belt. Creatures of the Wind, Jason Wu, Suno. She went to New York with the knowledge and skill set that comes from many years of hair styling, fashion shows and photo shoots (along with almost 40 lbs. of styling tools and supplies in a special suitcase). Andrea says that the Kerastase team was amazing to work with, and she can't wait to share her experiences with her colleagues and friends.

Andrea, we could not be more impressed.

Andrea Clarke at Fashion Week 2012 - Jason Wu

Bright and early this morning, Andrea packed her styling tools and headed over to the St. John's Center on the West Highway to begin prep for the Jason Wu show. She later reported that this show was considerably bigger than yesterday's, with over 40 models on board. Not surprisingly, more backstage chaos ensued as the Kerastase team produced flawless slicked-back high ponytails (not as easy as it sounds, especially since many of the ponytails had to be created and added on to the hair of the models), and the makeup teams added dramatic eyes and heavy liner to complete the look. This perfectly complimented the clothing of designer Jason Wu which was rich in texture and tapesty with velvet, tassels and beads. Stay tuned for backstage pics!

Andrea Clarke, backstage at Fashion Week 2012 - first show, Creatures of the wind

NYC update! Andrea Clarke shined brightly working her first of three shows at New York Fashion Week

- today, Creatures of the Wind. Andrea and the rest of the national Kerastase styling team created looks that were innovative and mystical, and she loved every minute of her experience. Andrea tells us that there were 2-3 stylists hard at work on the hair of each model at any given moment during the three hour hair/makeup prep time, and the energy was CRAZY...but at the same time, everyone had their eye on the prize. They were focused on the goal of coordinating hair and makeup styling with the whimsical and intricately crafted ready-to-wear creations of this up and coming designer. http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/09/dress-code-creatures-of-the-wind-2/?hpw Working backstage was incredibly chaotic, Andrea says.... hair product flying everywhere, some models arriving late to the prep studio, having raced over from another fashion show. At one point the stylists lost electrical power, but everyone improvised and managed to pull off a fantasic show!

Andrea Clarke, Fashion Week 2012,Kerastase Paris, Creatures of the Wind, Suno, Jason Wu

After a smooth and seamless flight from Denver to New York, Andrea was ready to take a moment to relax and chat about the much anticipated experience of the next few days at Fashion Week - backstage!!
First and foremost, Andrea says she is truly humbled by the opportunity that she's been given by Kerastas Paris, and she is so very excited about the artistic opportunities she's being offered. After spending 27 years in the hair industry, she feels reinspired, incredibly motivated, and can't wait to see how it all translates when she returns to Luxe Salon next week
Further, she can't say enough about her enthusiasm to bring back great energy and new ideas to her fellow team members at Luxe. All of them have been so very supportive of this opportunity for Andrea to pursue an aspect of her industry in which she has always wanted to be involved.
While Andrea feels some anxiety about getting into the rythm of backstage Fashion Week prep tomorrow, she's also excited about the anticipated "controlled chaos" that takes place at any big fashion show, and she is ready!
